MALAWI 2005

I took these pictures during a journey in Malawi in 2005. I traveled with volunteers working in the area of Mangochi. They drove me through small villages to help people suffering of aids and malaria, we visited hospitals and missions.
This trip was possible thanks to the Municipality of Paratico. Paratico is a small city not far from Brescia, in the north of Italy.
The Municipality, in cooperation with the local St. John the Baptist Seminary, is sponsoring projects such as schools, development of agriculture and so on.

Japan. Cherry blossom, sushi, the bullet train. The usual picture of a geisha, real or a fake. The usual stereotypes. Since my first time in Japan, almost twenty years have passed. For almost eight years I have been living there. I cannot count how many times italian friends asked me if I was tired of sushi…
